Grateful for all your support and votes

Thank you to all who voted in the election for Lane County Commissioner. I came in third in the race according to a strict vote count, but came out way ahead in the wonderful interactions I had with supporters and strangers who became supporters. I gained a much deeper understanding about some of the issues we are grappling with in Eugene, and just scratched the surface of other areas that deserve more attention. Joel and Laurie are the two candidates who will be running off for the position in the General Election come November. It was an energizing experience to run for election during a pandemic. There is no time to waste. I’m looking forward to engaging more deeply in issues as I return to life as a civilian, rather than a candidate.
